IT pros name security top concern, security pros say huh?

Ahem.

The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) announced this week that its Web poll, conducted from June 3 through Aug. 25, showed that one-third of IT professionals believe that securing their networks and data is their biggest concern.

I don't want to seem skeptical and perhaps the IT pros I have dealt with are the exceptions... but are these the same IT pros that push poor design, complain about preventative security measures, argue about how their app is different, tell me "it's ok, really", and slash my budget? Not that I'm complaining... I'm just sayin'.

But then again, security was the top concern of 33% of those surveyed; so perhaps I just deal with the other 66% 99% of the time. ;)
